General information

This privacy policy has been written to serve people who are concerned about how their 'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII) is used online. PIIs are information that can be used alone or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a person, or to identify a person in that context. Please read our privacy policy to determine it suits you. It details how Bioencapsulation Research group (BRG) collects, uses, protects or otherwise processes your Personally Identifiable Information.

BRG may update the privacy policy when new laws apply or when our services changes. Therefore, check our privacy policy regularly. This policy is effective from 01/01/2017.

When and how do we collect personal information?

We collect information about you when you register on our site, subscribe to a newsletter, ranswer a survey, fill out a form, enter information on our site or provide information free of charge, for example with business cards.

We can collect the following information:

  • Firstname, lastname and job title (function);
  • Contact details, including affiliation, address, phone, email address;
  • Other information relevant for BRG members such as area of activity.

We do not record any sensitive information, such as credit card number. All transactions are processed through official service providers, namely the bank, PayPal.

What do we do with the information we collect?

We can use the information in the following ways:

  • To announce BRG's activities, in particular by sending invitations for our events and meetings;
  • To communicate non-commercial news concernong the field of microencapsulation;
  • To follow up with registrants, on request via the website or any other type of correspondence (live chat, email or phone inquiries).

Disclosure to a third party

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to third parties.
We do not use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties.
